Welcome to Sidway Mill

Sidway Mill has been in existence from the 1750s when there was an old water mill located next to the water that is fed from underground springs and flows into the River Tern.  The water is crystal clear and the surrounding area is green farm land.  There are carp in the pool and fishing will be permitted to those with a valid licence.

The surrounding countryside is teeming with wildlife.  If you watch a while you may catch a glimpse of the kingfisher, the kite or the kestrel. There are usually swans on the mill pond, and a large variety of other aquatic birds.

In the surrounding trees and hedges the smaller birds thrive, with all the common and a few special feathered friends.

The historic barns have recently been sympathetically converted with the first, the Drift House available as a 5 bedroom holiday let.  Meeting the new safety standards for holiday lets with smoke detectors in all the bedrooms and communal areas and emergency lights should the electrical supply fail.

If you are looking for somewhere for friends to meet, or to take time out of your busy life to relax, this is a warm welcoming holiday let.  There is space for up to ten guests who will be able to have the luxury of their own bathrooms next to the five bedrooms.  Each bedroom has individual heating controls to cater for each guests' preference.  There is space for guests to spend time together and plenty of room so the kids don't get under your feet!

There is a big solid oak dining table which can be used to seat 10, next to the extensive kitchen.  There is a large american style fridge freezer with ice dispenser as well as a larder unit to provide plenty of storage for food.

The lounge has comfortable seating for all guests, with a 55" TV and play station.  There is a smaller snug room which looks across the countryside and the large mill pond.  There are patio doors to the outdoor seating area and fenced garden space. There is a selection of books and games.

Pets are welcome with the space for them to have a quick walk round the mill pond, or explore the local walks in Maer Hills which are accessible by foot from the property.

Care has been taken to renovate the barns to a high standard so that they have 14kW of solar panels which help to power the air source heat pump.  There is underfloor heating throughout the barn with radiators upstairs and all bathrooms have a heated towel rail.

There is also parking for up to 5 cars in the car port which has security cameras and will soon have an electric vehicle charging point.
